Prefabricated Roof Elements

A roof package has to fit the building beneath it. Begin with the roof geometry, construction interfaces and site conditions, then confirm the available element scope.

01

Identify the requested roof package

WWL’s existing timber-house services describe roof components within a manufactured building package. A separate roof-element enquiry needs its own confirmation of the current product and supply boundary. State whether you are reviewing a whole timber building or an element-only requirement, and identify the roof design already available.

02

Review geometry and connections

Share roof plans, sections, spans, openings and the relevant connection details. The supporting walls, structural designer and design requirements need to be identified. A roof cannot be specified from appearance alone; its construction and interfaces must be coordinated with the building.

03

Agree materials and work boundaries

Discuss the structural component, insulation where applicable, membrane interfaces, external roof covering and internal finish. Confirm which work would be completed before delivery and what remains on site. Do not assume that roof covering, drainage or every finish is part of an element order.

04

Plan delivery and installation

Access and lifting arrangements belong in the initial brief. Discuss the delivery order, storage conditions, installation sequence and protection of the building during the work. The proposal should assign these responsibilities alongside the component specification; a short assembly stage is not the complete project timetable.

05

Bring the relevant project information

Send the site country, building type, drawing revision and proposed division of work. Review wall interfaces and the professional-project page if the roof belongs to a wider delivery programme. The next step is a coordinated package discussion, not a catalogue promise detached from the design.

Before we start.

Does the roof enquiry include roof covering?

The covering, layers and site work must be stated explicitly in the proposed scope.

Is an archive photograph a roof specification?

No. Use current project drawings and the confirmed element configuration to define the package.

YOUR PROJECT

Discuss your roof-element requirements.

Tell us your country, project stage and intended building use. The proposal will define the design responsibilities, manufacturing scope and next steps for your brief.

Your enquiry will be emailed to the WWL HUS team.
